Locs
of Luck!
Going NATURAL
can be the relief your hair has been begging for.
Many people
are opting for the lock look. It's not just a Hollywood thang'.
You can do it too. Don't need to be Lauryn Hill or Malcolm Jamal
Warner ("Theo") to sport this style. More and more professionals
are climbing the corporate ladder and conducting multi-million dollar
deals wearing locks. And trust me, they look Fabulous!
I know,
I know, it's a scary thought. Cutting off your relaxed, chemical-treated,
bone straight hair for the natural look. The early stages don't
have to be frightening though, you can do a lot of different things
to make your new locks look great!
Try beads
or scarfs. Some people even braid them together to create different
looks. Be creative. This is your look. A direct reflection of who
you are. Let yourself be free.
For beautiful
looking locks we recommend you shampoo and condition regularly,
in addition to hot oil treatments. Locks should be washed at least
once a month.
And just
so you know, it takes about 4 to 12 months to completely lock you
hair. So, be patient. We recommend you seek a professional to maintain
your locked look. Check out our directory for a shop in your area.
Locks are
permanent. They must be cut from the scalp if you get tired of them.
So make sure this is what you want.
Have your
locks maintained every 4-6 weeks. Over twisting can cause your locks
to become week and snap. Yes! Snap OFF. So only twist them during
your maintenance.
Good luck
